It has the option to not install whatever toolbar it suggests, while these three mounters are virtually unheard of.</blockquote></div>
We were going to include it as we mentioned earlier in the article, but with so many other great alternatives we didn't feel that it was necessary since it is bundled with the spyware. And what makes these alternatives so bad just because they haven't been heard of? If you only use programs you've heard of you probably don't like half the stuff we cover on the site?

Yes, as long as you click the direct download links from the site I point to. If you click on the download section along the left side it tries to get you to download their full suite of apps that aren't free.

Hadn't heard of that... I'll definitely have to look into it.

I used to be a fan of Daemon Tools, but once I realized that it's free only for home use (which means that I cannot use it at work), I switched to MagicDisc (MagicISO), which does not seem to have free usage restrictions. I'm also considering Pismo File Mount (being able to mount ZIP files is pretty awesome).

Daemon Tools in my opinion is excellent. You do need to be aware of the toolbar and other bundled software.

You should scan your computer for spyware after the install.

Is MagicIso free?

Alcohol 52% free version work with the most common formats. Daemon work with cur files that point to MP3, FLAC, etc. Pismo works with ZIP but doesn't support auto-loading.
