Just checked out TinyResMeter. While I like the looks of WinBar, I'm gonna try this one out for a while. Could shave off 5MB of RAM usage with it, while keeping most of the functions and getting some new ones. I like the TopCPU/TopRAM/TopDisk options!

I'm still using WinBar, an application of which development halted in 2004. I'd love to find a replacement but haven't been able to find one yet. I use it to keep an eye on uptime, CPU usage (graph), RAM memory in use (numbers), DU meter (internet traffic), quick volume adjustment (slider) and date/time. Always visible, unobtrusive, taking very little screen estate. Such a shame it's not being developed anymore and that it's not open source :(

Nice find. That is definitely one of the nicer Vista gadgets that I've seen for monitoring performance.

There are also several configurations for Samurize to get software and hardware stats, thought they rely on external monitoring programs, like Everest.</blockquote></div>
I do love TinyResMeter because of all the details that it can show. Plus the layout is pretty compact so it doesn't take up too much room.

For minimalists, my favorite is SysTrayMeter. Just a small icon in the tray with 2 numbers: CPU% and free RAM, and it uses just 468Kb!
