CyberNotes Free For All Friday

It’s Free For All Friday! No, no free Writely invitations this week! For those of you that got one last week, we hope you’re enjoying it! Since it is Friday, you may need something to occupy your time this weekend. I’ve found something pretty nifty that’s been around for a little while, but many of you may not have heard of it or if you have heard of it, you may not have paid attention to just how cool it is.

Check it out, It is one of the latest among many in Ajax Desktop’s available. The screen shot you see above is a quick example of what I put together in just a few minutes to give you an idea of what you can do! If you take the time, you could put together a pretty impressive, customized AJAX desktop.

Here’s a quick run down of a few features to get your taste buds flowin’. First, it has the ability to add multiple news feeds into a panel. This can be broken into multiple panels. I.E. one panel for World News, one for Tech News, etc. You can get all your news like BBC, CNN, and even the feed from CyberNet News! Second, Sticky Notes! I use actual sticky notes quite frequently! This gives you a chance to make yourself a quick note posted on your page that can be moved ANYWHERE! No Ajax desktop would be complete without a photo feature. On Protopage, you can upload your pictures and add descriptions to share with others on your page! And of course you can do all sorts of fancy stuff with your background and color scheme.

The best way to really get a feel for Protopage is to go check it out and play around for a while! There’s a lot more to it than what I’ve mentioned. They’ve done a great job– it’s quick, customizable, and it simply looks cool. There’s so much that can be done with AJAX that really, I can’t wait to see what will be next (leave us a comment and check-out our new AJAX commenting feature’ it’s pretty slick I must say). Have fun!
