My reasoning for this was if most of the boat is out of the water then there would be no contact with the surface of the water to keep it stable. It is essentially like a plane gliding over the water...if it got hit by a wave it would essentially just roll over. I was just thinking of something…if the waters weren’t very calm then the boat would probably get knocked over by waves if it was traveling at full speed.
