I have used Orb for a long time and I love it. It works very well for streaming as well as the file downloads that Ryan mentioned. He did not mention that recordings that are scheduled through Orb are in the same format as Media Canter recordings so this fits in great on a media center PC and any program that removes commercials on Media Center recordings should work fine with the Orb recordings as well.
