SOmethings are easier with linux (ssh, and some backup scripts i run) other are easier with windows. I ususally use the windows command line when somethings not working. You can do the same thing with it as I did with Plink. Cygwin is "emulates" the Linux command prompt...but I prefer to use the Windows command prompt when I'm in Windows.
