You don't have to press a single key to access spotlight. Just click the magnifying glass, in the upper right corner, in the menu bar. Then you can just start typing.

For those who complain about having to press 2 buttons on the keyboard to activate spotlight, just go into spotlight preferences and for the short cut at the bottom change to something else. Now you can get spotlight with a press of one button.

If I’m wrong, I’d be glad if someone could show me how to do it.</blockquote></div>

It is on the search tab of folder options.

Ashley's comment above points out a truth. And I too bet Anand is just not aware of computers and OSes world.
The truth Ashley underlines is that vulnerabilty increases with popularity.

It's not as bad as some people, particularly those who haven't actually tried it, make it out to be. Are you aware of the vulnerabilities that Mac OS X users face?
I'm just an every-day-user, you know, so i'm glad with Vista searches.
Mac Spotlight features seem interesting ones at a glance on your experience comments, and Leopard users, thus are power-users.
Vista millions of users less, they'll enjoy the sentence.

Anyway, just curiously, may now OS X platforms support all windows power-apps? Sure?

It's a lot more difficult doing that with one finger, and if you're using a Windows-designed keyboard those two keys are not next to each other.
