When the Wii first came out I wasn’t all that excited about it, but I didn’t know too much of how it actually worked. I have several friends who own one now, and they were all telling me how great it was. I think that is what pushed me over the edge to want one.

I was lucky enough to “win” the rights to buy a Wii from Amazon a few days before Christmas last year (about a month after it came out).

I am so glad I went with the Wii. I don’t care about graphics and detail, just enjoyment. I don’t get to involved, so the sports games and DDR/Guitar Hero will suit my needs just fine, which are due out soon.

PlayStation just doesn’t get what people want and even if it is affordable, their online gameplay is nothing compared to XBox and the games just aren’t enjoyable. Its great to see Nintendo be rewarded for thinking outside the box.

Sounds great – my housemate and I are thinking of getting a Wii this year, though I’m also in the market for pool table.

Well I love the Wii, that is the system that is getting the most amount of play time in my house right now (yeah my PS2 isn’t getting any love for now although I still need to finish up a few games on that). Even my mother who isn’t a gamer plays Wii sports with me (she likes the bowling like every other non-gamer out there). Also the software libraby is growing (like for instance Metorid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil Umbrella, NIGHTS to name a few).

It’s a good system only thing lacking form it is DVD and music CD playback. I really do hope that Nintendo would add a Media Channel where people can play MP3s, music CDs, DVDs, and movies from SD card or from a networked computer. Other than that I like surfing the web on the TV lounging on the couch, but once the full USB keyboard support is put into the Internet Channel it will be a much better experience surfin’ the web. Reminds me of something like that what WebTV tried to do back in the mid nineties.

Thanks Tonino! I had seen Rayman Raving Rabbids listed as a fun game, but one that got boring after a few times playing. Do you think it’s a game that would be fun to play over and over again?

Well, I haven’t played that many games, but if you enjoy MArio PArty probably you’ll also love “Rayman Raving Rabbids”. I had a lot of fun with it and it let’s you try your remote and nunchuck in lots of fun ways.
