As far as the domain search goes, there’s a good explanation as to why I require a keyword. If I don’t it can actually affect the normal behavior of Firefox which is not acceptable to me. For example, a URL that contains a space in a filename or directory will automatically be recognized as a domain search. If the user tries to visit that URL it will instead take them to their designated search engine since CyberSearch thinks they were doing a domain search, but in reality there was just a space in the URL. There’s really no getting around it without using a keyword. Trust me, I tried.

Those who have the same problem follow these steps:
1. Close Firefox
2. go to your Firefox profile folder e.g.
c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxyyy.default

3. find file prefs.js and open it with Notepad.

4. Find and delete those 2 lines
user_pref(“extensions.cybersearch.keywords”, “cybernet|CS|digg|… your old keywords”);

and

user_pref(“extensions.cybersearch.maxRows”, 0);

Now works fine for me, but there is still a problem if you write a little bit faster in address bar, already mentioned above.

I can’t save new Keywords.

OK button has “no action”.

Under Tools I don’t have “CyberSearch Options”
