Unlocker 1.8.6??? It’s 1.8.5 on the developer’s Website.
Filehippo has 1.8.6….but when I change the download URL on the developer’s site, I’m brought back to the main page.
Well, I’m not sure how the various download sites got 1.8.6, but it’s there. Maybe the developer uploaded the new version to the various sites before even updating their own site?
I believe from past experience with Unlocker the developer tries to keep bandwidth under control by uploading it to other sites before his own. That way he does not have to pay as much for unneeded costs for bandwidth which can add up.

Well, I got suspicious…dl 1.8.6 from majorgeeks and extracted the installer with Universal Extractor. This “new” version includes eBayShortcuts.exe from AD ON Multimedia Advertising GmbH. I am not sure this 1.8.6 version really comes from the developer.
I downloaded it from FileHippo and I like borja used universal extractor and found the ebay shortcuts program. That’s all I saw that was suspicious, but remember they are probably doing the same thing ccleaner did, trying to make a little extra income off including this stuff, I doubt they are trying to mess up anyone’s computer. Remember it costs software authors money to write this software for free and distribute it. I for one will be installing and testing this.
I installed it and it seems just fine. It does indeed offer an option to install ebay shortcuts, but just like with ccleaner you can deselect it.
Thanks for the clarification leland. The developers do indeed have to make some money off of their software somehow if we want to give them some motivation to update their applications.
