Thanks to Meshal for the tip on IZArc!

I have to point out (unfortunately) that IZArc v3.81.1550 is not a new release, in fact it has been out for over a year. It’s regrettable that the development of this file compression utility seems to have been stuck in a limbo for so long, and despite it’s nice UI and set of features it lags in efficiency and speed when compared to 7-Zip. I really would like to see a real update to this app that would bring it back to speed, but I wouldn’t bet on it hapenning anytime soon.
Darn it, when the commenter posted it I thought it was new. I checked the download page and it said June 14th, 2007. My brain apparently didn’t process the year, and so I thought it was relatively new. Thanks for the info though.
I’m sorry Ryan, I thought you can add a new app. to this thread weather if it has a new update or not.
sorry again
No problem! We love to checkout applications recommended by our readers.
