Thanks a lot for letting me know about Flock’s security/stability patch. I went to their site, but nothing mentions the release of this upgrade.
You get to know it’s Flock 1.0.2 when the “Opening Flock 1.0.2″ window pops up. I wonder why Flock wants to keep their releases under a low profile.
BTW, upgrading Flock using the “Check For Updates” in the Help menu did not work for me. I had to download the whole file about 10.3 MB big.
I’m guessing that the update within the browser itself should be coming soon, but even Firefox doesn’t release the automatic update until a few hours (or sometimes a day) after the update is out. That way they spread out the bandwidth requirements.
I never quite understood why Flock doesn’t blog about these updates themselves.
