I work at a tech company and see all these help desk guys who've haven't written a stitch of code since college fussing about the iphone 3G when half of them barely use the browser and basically use iphones for music on the walk to the train , maybe a movie every now and then, oh yeah.. and searching for places when you're on a date. People upgrade their phones then proceed to jailbreak them just to download a few apps that will never be used after a few days of showing off at the office. Comparing it to something like what's available for the Blackberry I would say that the iPhone probably already has more free apps. Plus this is just the beginning... so I would imagine that a lot more programs will be coming out in the next month or two.
