Microsoft has made Office 2007 publicly available and they will give you the serial that you need to use it. You just have to fill out a quick survey and they will give you the keys for every Office 2007 product that you want: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc…
Don’t wait, go get it now!
This does not work. An error message keeps dumping you back to Microsoft’s “Profile Center.”
It worked for me and my brother, is anyone else having any issues?

I’ve been trying since early today. I get as far as the “User Profile Data Transfer” and no farther. I was sent the key to ’07 Office but a lot of good that does me:~ )
Hmmm, the second comment on this error made me interested in what was going on. I went and registered again and noticed that Microsoft did not tell me to download a “Software Manager”, it just gave a hyperlink to the downloads on the same page that it provided the serial numbers. For example, this is the direct download link for [download.esd.licensetech.com]
So if you have registered earlier today, trying going back and registering again. Hope that helps!

Exactly, everyone loves to test what they normally don’t have the opportunity to do. The same reason that people like testing Firefox 2.0, not because they like using buggy software it is because they like using the latest.

That worked perfectly. I got the download. You have to have XP SP2 installed to run it. I’ve been a coward and never upgraded. Guess there’s no time like the present and hope there is no big hassle. It is fun checking out new programs.

Anyways, it sucks that after Feb. 2007 this software will operate under “reduced functionality”… but whatever, Office is too good to be totally free anyways

Can you print or save items in the beta microsoft 2007 download? I thought that I read you can not print or save items.
Absolutely, it is fully functional. Just as a heads up to you there is a new version expected in the next week or so. If you install Beta 2 then you will probably just be installing another version very soon.

It won’t be good any longer because Beta 2 expired several months ago. It probably won’t even let you install it, and even if it does you won’t be able to run it. You’re only option is to download a trial of Office 2007.
