Skype has released yet another new version but there don’t appear to be that many new features. The changelog does show quite a long list of bug fixes which always make it worth upgrading. Here are the new features that they feel are worth noting:
- Easier to call ordinary phones
- Free calls within the US and Canada to all phones until the end of the year
- Send SMS messages
- View and call Outlook contacts directly
- Buy Skype credit more easily
I am sure that some of the under-the-hood features that were added will help them with their eBay integration. Google needs to step up soon otherwise it will be tough to get a good portion of the VoIP market.
