The point is, though, that if they are in stock and you happen to fry the system, if money is no object, then you can just go and pick up another one. And I’d put my money on “No, he completely screwed up the first time”.

Even if they were in stock there is always the risk that you could fry the system. I wonder if this guy actually got it to work on the first system that he attempted it on?

Of course they had to wait until the PSOne came out! No one wants to be carrying around something like [dell.com] . You’re right, they should sell this on eBay, but only after making a second one for themselves . They could even start a business

I completely forgot about Sony doing this with the PS1, but that was only after the PS1 got as small as a personal CD player. I guess the size is a drawback for any of these companies to create things like that, but I think they should sell that Wii on eBay just to see how much it goes for.

If only they sold these commercially . The Wii is a bit of a large investment to do something like this to, especially when it’s in such short supply. The laptop is definitely cool, though. I remember when Sony released something like this for the PS1. It was an attachable screen. It is even more of a natural thing to do for the Wii, as it has built in WiFi. You could go turn your local Starbuck’s into a Cyber-Cafe .

I also liked the controller mod, however, those seem to be in short supply lately, too. I’d wait off a little while until I could find a store that actually has replacement models in stock. Nonetheless, this does seem like a good beginner’s hardware modding project. Good luck, Max!

Yeah, it’s really something that you just have to get used to, and when you’re working with these machine made boards the soldering points are a little smaller and a little trickier.

That is flippin’ awesome. I’m really interested in reading the tutorial but I don’t dare try something like that on my Wii. I simply don’t trust myself.
