<p>There is a MySpace chat but you opt-in to it unlike Facebook.

It&#039;s called XMPP - Google got on the boat but everyone else is busy sucking. I&#039;d hope that with Facebook doing this they could also allow it to be federated, though I&#039;m not sure how they&#039;d handle the address of each individual. In which case it will just be more clutter.</description>
