Mozilla has been working on Firefox 1.5.0.7 for a few weeks now and they are already on Release Candidate 3. The long list of languages are available for download on the FTP but here are the English versions:
September 7 is supposed to be the big day for Firefox and Thunderbird is expected to get updated on September 14. There are a lot of bugs that have been fixed so this will be an important release for Firefox 1.5 users. If you are using Firefox 2 Beta 2, like myself, then you probably realize how hard it is to go back to Firefox 1.5! ![]()

Yep, been using FF 2.0 Beta 2 now full time as well for a couple days now. I guess I’ll have to reload 1.5.0.6 to get it to update, not that I really plan on using it…
I still use FF 1.5.0.6 for mission critical tasts like my college website and other things of that sort. Otherwise I imported all my bookmarks to FF 2.0 Beta 2 and I use it all the time.
Some people don’t like the new GUI of 2.0 but I love it.
Can’t wait for 1.5.0.7 though, I gotta love security updates

That has taken a little getting use to for me, but it doesn’t bother me now.
I was wondering who you were since you said in the previous article that you finally registered. Now it makes sense.
Oh! I am using firefox 2. Indeed find it hard to go back to fifox 1.5. How could that be possible?
I too would find it hard to go back from Firefox 2. Not much of a reason to do it, as ff2 is now pretty stable for me.
It would be nice to regain some extensions, though, but it’s not something I can’t live without.
Oh, speaking of extensions, on the 1.x days when I started a search in the toolbar search box, it automatically opened in a new tab. I think that the ‘Tab Browsing preferences’ extension was responsible for that.
Anyone know how to replicate that behavior under 2.0?
I think you can probably find that feature in Tab Mix Plus, but I don’t remember…

Most extensions can run in 2.0b2 with the Nightly Tester Tools (do not use Download Manager Tweak, that will break your options Window). Tabbrowser Preferences while install does not seem to work any more forcing search results to open in new tab. I’ll have to look into this more and see if they have any news on this. As for Tab Mix Plus, never really cared for that extension seemed too complicated and bloated.
