I just downloaded it, and although it looks better at first, the fact that I can only display 12 tabs at once (on the tab bar, without scrolling) is really annoying. I usually have at least 20 tabs open, but now I have to keep on scrolling. Is there a way to change this?

The spell-checking feature was really useful just now, though.

Yes you can upgrade. Just download the new version and install it and it will preserve all of your current settings.

I haven't downloaded it myself to verify but I would have to believe it is the same. There is almost no way that they could throw an untested build on the FTP to replace the old one. That would just spell trouble.
