I understand that, it’s the fact that they took the time to fix those 1123 minor defects. I think there are some companies that would ship the product with those defects in place. After all, they are minor.

I want to install this alpha to play with it but I’m worried it might override my current Firefox with some conflicts. I’m on Vista so if you could tell me how I could install it without affecting Firefox 2.

While the other two recommendations for running Firefox 3 were good, I think the best way would be to use this script: [cybernetnews.com]

That will create a portable build for you, and you can run both Firefox 2 and Firefox 3 side-by-side at the same time. That’s what I use now, and I have recommended it to a lot of people.

Ouch, I didn’t see that. I’m surprised they weren’t able to get that fixed.

Gran Paradiso Alpha 8 does not contain the mitigation for the QuickTime/Firefox cross-scripting flaw that was recently released with Firefox 2.0.0.7.

I know a lot of you don’t use Quicktime, but people who do should be aware of that before using this.
