The code to highlight only the domain (rather than the entire hostname) had to be disabled due to memory leaks, but it will be back soon. The same developer of the extension is also the one who created the patch, so I'm sure he will be finetuning it a bit more before the release of Firefox 3. Hence, I don't know if this patch is better than the (original)locationbar in Fx2, which is much easier to read imho...
