Foxit Reader 2.0 Beta Just Released

Are you tired of those PDF files taking forever to load because of how slow Adobe Acrobat opens? If so then you should checkout Foxit Reader. It has a lot of great features like the small 1MB file size and the fact that there is no installation required. So it is fast, small, and easy to setup.

If you like the current version then maybe you should checkout version 2.0 Beta. Here is an overview of the new features:

  • Multi-language UI
  • Dynamic downloading of add-ons
  • Form filler
  • Better look and feel
  • and there is more!

I have always been impressed with their software and I have never heard of anyone going back to Adobe Acrobat once they tried Foxit! The Foxit Reader is free but they do offer more advanced versions, just like Adobe, that you can pay for to receive more features.

  1. I downloaded this and I highly recommend it. It opens very quickly and loads PDF files just like Adobe’s Acrobat does. It doesn’t even require installation. Just double-click the file and it opens right away. From there you can open PDFs quickly and easily. I might remove Adobe Acrobat 7.0 from my PC soon because it’s taking up 62MB and Foxit is only 3.3MB.

  2. Everyone that I know that has tried it never goes back :) , looks like you have fallen into the ex-Acrobat category Max.

  3. I just installed Foxit and after 2 minutes I was 100% sure that I would never use Adobe Acrobat anymore, it opens INSTANTLY ..amazing.

  4. err..cant really speak of installation when its ready-to-run as is, just like the portable FireFox :)

  5. i downloaded this but when i tried opening a file, the body of the paper was not showing. it was just a blank page. i tried hight lighting though, several boxes were shown. so it means the texts are there. i just cant see it. why is it like this?

  6. wait… ohhhh there it is! i had to download the image decoder.. haha! i just pressed cancel when it appeared. thought it was just some upgrade thing. great!
