DOUBLE SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My girlfriend has 64 bit vista, and there are no free downloads available for protection on her computer. Please unite and get your act’s together. With the falling economy, it is hard for everyone to survive. Some depend on these free downloads to protect their computers while in school. We are both in college, and don’t have money available to spend on firewalls when there have been free dependable and available downloads. Please fix this problem immediately, and we will love and cream our pants like George Lucas did when he discovered his first Star Wars thought.

Some people like a firewall with more advanced options rather than sticking with the built-in firewall.

Nobody familiar with the little tool called ´Vista Firewall control´ ? Add´s whats missing in Vista´s firewall, which is control over outgoing traffic.

Awesome, let us know if you find out anything. In the meantime, I’m researching how to customize Windows Vista’s firewall options with the MMC console. Also, I’ll be waiting for a new ZoneAlarm version to see if it fixes anything on Vista.

I’ve had that happen with firewalls before, but I have been using the Zonealarm lately and haven’t really noticed a difference. I’ll definitely be on the lookout though. Thanks!

Hey guys just wanted to let you know. I installed the new Zone Alarm Free Firewall for Vista Business 32 bit and I had some speed issues.

After I installed it I noticed that my web browser reaction times were slightly slower than usual. I tested my internet connected on speedtest.net but it was the same. I used both IE 7 and FF 2.0 and same difference. Even Google pages were slower. So tonight I uninstalled it and what do you know? My web browsing is snappy and nimble again. I have no idea why, but it’s true.

Also when I logged back into windows after uninstalling and rebooting my network connection fluxed on and off and I had to ipconfig /release & ipconfig /renew to fix it. Strange stuff.
