		<description>I agree with Omar. While I don&#039;t use the Yahoo pages often, I think this design is an improvement on the sliding boxes they have now (which I find quite slow and messing up the page when I don&#039;t want to often). They&#039;re definitely going in the right direction in everything I see them do.</description>

By including more and more applications at the tip of their fingers, they will remain loyal to the website.  For example, I&#039;ve been using My Yahoo as far back as 1996, and don&#039;t intend to change it.  It&#039;s the first thing I see when I boot my computer.

New applications are being encouraged by Yahoo to open source developers (hackers) nationwide, in much the same way Apple is promoting applications to their iPhone.  Google has been busy writing web applications for quite a while.

It remains to be seen how innovative and useful these new applications will be.  I think it&#039;s a step in the right direction for a struggling Yahoo.</description>
