DVD Profiler is an essential application for all of the DVD collectors out there. It is used to track and organize your entire DVD collection in one central location. To make things really easy it contains up-to-date information on the latest DVD’s, HD-DVD’s, and Blu-Ray movies that are being released. Sorry, you won’t have to sit there and manually type in the DVD’s until your fingers fall off.
The first time that I went to add a movie to DVD Profiler it had to download a 11.5MB file which contained a information for over 325,000 movies. After that I was able to instantly add movies that I owned according to UPC, manual lookup, a DVD that is currently in the drive, or by upcoming releases:
After you go through and add the videos that you want, DVD Profiler will download the box shots for each of them (front and back). One of the things that really impressed me was the tracking capabilities for movies you loan out to friends and family. You just create a user for each person, specify what movie rating they’re allowed to see (PG, PG-13, R, etc…), and you’ll be able to track who currently has some of your videos. You can even specify a due date.
I can’t argue that this is a full-featured DVD management app, and after using this I’m doubtful that there is even a better one available!
–The Giveaway–
We have 3 licenses of DVD Profiler (valued at $29.95 each) to giveaway today! All you have to do is drop a comment below providing both your name and email address in the appropriate fields. We obviously need your email address for contacting you in the event that you should win. Believe it or not we’ve actually had winners in previous giveaways get randomly selected, but since they didn’t provide an email address we had to pick someone else.
Just as with all of our giveaways we will be using a random number generator to determine the winners. For this round here is how we’re going to give out the licenses:
- 1 winner will be picked from comment numbers 1 through 10
- 2 winners will be picked from comment numbers 1 through however many comments there are.
Entries for the giveaway will be accepted up until December 4th at 5:00PM Central Time.

This would be great to sort out my huge collection.

yet another killer app
I have 1,100 DVD’s and 2 DVD drives. If I won it would take one can of beer to profile say 20 DVDs. Thats 55 cans of beer to profile the whole collection. Hmmm… Maybe I should buy the software and forget the beer. Nah…I’d buy the beer anyway.
Great stuff!
sounds like a good addition to my hard drive.
