I have 2 Gmail accounts, one is quite old (when Gmail was just opened and invite-only), the other one is just a few months old. The older one gets a very very large amount of spam (I began calling it Live Spam because every minute or half a minute new spam appeared). However, all of the spam goes into the spam folder and the right emails go to the inbox. My new account doesn’t get spam. On my Hotmail account which is 10+ years old, I get less spam compared to my old Google account but some of it lands in the inbox.

You said it the best. Out of all my accounts (Hotmail, Yahoo!, and Gmail) the Gmail one gets the most spam, but it filters it the best. Not to mention my Hotmail sends legit emails to the spam folder all of the time.

Yeah, after about 3-4 years of use, my Yahoo account was pretty much pwn’d by spam. Only about half of the spam makes it to the spam folder….<_<
In gmail, I don’t think I’ve EVER gotten a spam in my inbox….but there have been 2-3 messages that were marked spam that really weren’t.

My Yahoo account is nearly all spam as well. A good portion of it though is due to me using that email address when signing up for different things on the Internet. Although, you’d think Yahoo’s spam system would be able to catch a good majority of them.
