With Microsummaries, different RSS readers, Alerts, emails and sites like Digg doesn't anyone ever worry that the internet may become less a place to find information and more a place to have it shoved in your face at the expense of all else?

I'm sure this alerts service will be useful, but if people start being so pick and choose in their browsing habits they'll get a very narrow world view.
