It is just software, and Google is relying on mobile device manufacturers to make the handsets. Assuming Google does a good job of developing the software handset manufacturers will likely jump on the chance to use the software since it will reduce their development costs.

I hope that it will provide some stiff competition for the iPhone, but I&#039;ll have to see it before I&#039;ll believe it. They&#039;ve still got a lot of work to do.</description>

<p>It is just software, and Google is relying on mobile device manufacturers to make the handsets. Assuming Google does a good job of developing the software handset manufacturers will likely jump on the chance to use the software since it will reduce their development costs.</p>
