The headline scared the pants off me. I have so many notes in Google Notebook (mostly articles and stuff from the internet that I use often) that I can’t imagine what I would have done. I’m just glad they’re not completely closing it down.

Glad I'm not the only one. But it is a bit sad they aren't developing for it anymore. Eventually things like the Firefox extension will probably stop working, which will really suck.

That's my fear exactly. Hopefully someone at Google will pick up the project if that should happen.

I’m using the Firefox GNotebook add-on to share a grocery & recipe list with my gf, so we know what to get whenever we’re near a grocery store. Now that development has stopped, I’m afraid the add-on will not work anymore on future Firefox versions, which means Notebook will become a LOT less usable for us I haven’t found any alternatives for this in my hunt for a solution to our problem, Google Notebook was the only one.. really really a pity they have decided to do this.
