Well, your computer is going to download a lot of it as you visit the site anyway. Many of the features are powered by JavaScript, and Google Gears is there to make sure that the necessary JavaScript isn&#039;t deleted (among a few other things such as storing your documents). So I wouldn&#039;t exactly say that it clutters the computer.</description>
