Google Maps finally received some stiff competition from Yahoo when they released their satellite maps. The one feature that everyone loved about the Yahoo Maps can now be found in Google Maps (surprise surprise). This feature is the ability to dynamically move around the map using a thumbnail-sized view of the area. If you decide that this feature is not useful enough then you can always collapse it by pressing the little arrow in the bottom right corner.
It is nice when the leading companies go head-to-head and provide a tough competition with each other, because in the end it seems like the consumer is the winner
