Google has a lot of money but to squander it on two LARGE purchases back-to-back like this would be pretty crazy in my opinion. While it would be nice to have everything sync up, they would have to tear down the facebook code and rewrite it from scratch to make everything sync (like they had to do with writely).Myspace started going down the can around the time I joined (2004).
