Cycling routes next?

That was my thought!

This is pretty cool – it picked out a few odd routes but maybe I should try them out for speed. What it needs now is a way for people to add paths, cut-throughs, ginnels, foot bridges etc so they can use them in walking directions.

That would be cool if you could add additional paths, especially when you come across parks and stuff.

Apple and Google should integrate this into the Maps iPhone app. They already have Driving Directions available, and GPS is there (just in case), so walking directions would fit in well.

I’m guessing they will, but it probably won’t come around until the next big update… which will probably be in January or later again.
