I think it’s pretty cool; for example, mininova and pirates bay and all of the torrent sites could be searched with only one search for all relevant torrent files!!

Of course, this could already be done, but you almost have to know what you’re doing. This way a complete amature can find what they are looking for easily

I thought about using Google to search on this site but then there is always a delay between when Google indexes your site and when a post is made available…and I didn’t really like that.

I guess if you were a media network and had a ton of sites or something you could turn this into something useful. You would then be able to put a search box on your site that would search across all of your network.

I use Google search on my site, to help with AdSense revenue and because it was better than the one I programmed (for now). I see your point about customisable searches not being used much after the initial gimmick – and a good Googler can always get the right terms in anyway.
