FYI – Zillow has an iPhone app now. Blue Atlas Broker has two also (I think one is for iPod touch and the other for iPhone)

It did give Ashley and I a chance to scoop up a house at a great price though. One that we wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise, especially in the area that we were looking.

This is an interesting article but it neglects to mention John L. Scotts website. It has a full range of search engines and it gets listing just as fast as redfin does because it pulls the data from the same source that Redfin does. It also has an interactive map search that is second to none. And you can sign up and have saved searches that email you whenever a new listing that fits your criterea comes on the market.

@Omar, being in a crisis also means that there is a lot of opportunities for rebates in houses. I know hat this is hard for a lot of people, but that means also that the people that are loosing they houses have the chance to have another one, maybe at a price they could afford.

By the way, Redfin also shows homes that have recently dropped in price, as well as the last-sale price and tax information…
