Here’s a fun tip for you… you can drag an image directly from Firefox into Windows Live Writer and it will be hotlinked to the original picture. (Of course you should only do this for images on your own site that you want to re-use)

Imagebot is definitely a huge time saver you are posting images to public places quite frequently.

Huh, quite nifty for being an out-of-the-box feature. I guess you could use the extension that Okani recommended above to replicate that in Firefox though.

Has anyone tried Safari..I was using it last night and it has a very good option.

Right click on any image> Save on Desktop.

That’s it. No save as dialogue boxes..nothing.

I use an firefox extension called “Save Image in Folder”. It allows more than 1 custom folder destination, and several automatic renaming options. It’s real useful for me.

I use the Super DragAndGo extension in Firefox. Just left click on the image and drag a tiny bit and the Save as window pops up. No moving to to click on a button, no right-clicking and then selecting a menu item, no wacky key combinations needed.

I use this all the time… what I do is right-click and choose “View Image” so I know I’m on the right image… then I drag it to the desktop.
