Windows Live Email Address It has been a few months since the last trick to get a Windows Live email account address and now there is another trick available, this time thanks to wBeta! There are just a few steps to get your email address and this is much easier than the last time. Here they are:

  1. Right-click on this link and copy it to the clipboard. It won’t do you any good to just click on the link, you need to actually copy it to use later.
  2. Go to http://get.live.com/getlive/overview in Internet Explorer and click “Sign Up.” I tried doing it in Firefox but couldn’t get it to work.
  3. Paste what you just copied in step 1 into the address bar and press enter to execute it. The script adds a “Live.com” option to the drop-down menu of domain choices.
  4. Fill out the rest of the details and you’re all set!

Hopefully Microsoft will release these email addresses to the public soon but they will probably wait until Windows Live Mail is officially released. So you better hurry and get the address(es) that you want before all of the good ones have been taken and they shutdown this trick!

Well, live.com will be a bit like passport, you can have any email address registered to it to get services. But for the email I HIGHLY doubt you’ll get it.

  13. It works and I was able to sign in to the email. Did you know that hovering over the Live logo presents a list of links? I hadn’t see it yet.

If you actually want that, Live.com already offers to host your email so you can easily get that done :)

I use it for my junk email now. :)

Glad it is working for almost everyone, and for those people it isn’t working for just try a different browser.

  17. Ah finally I can get an email that had my name in it!
I should have done it with gmail when I had the invite,
but I didn’t think it would turn out to be so big. :(

  18. Still works. Just got 2 new @live.com email addys. Now I can stop using the pathetic hotmail addresses.

  19. It worked for me. I setup two email accounts. Thanks Ryan! :D

  20. worked for me using Mozilla 1.7.3 on HPUX. :)
    thanks.

  21. What about live.be? Is that available?

Edit: if I choose @live.be, I get the old Hotmail interface. However, if I choose @live.com, it gives me access to the new interface. Thanks for the tip Ryan!

  22. Still works. Thanks for the tip Ryan and wBeta! :D

  23. Thanks for this trick, but how can i read my emails? i created this account: EDRM@RkO.it but if i try to go and read my emails through hotmail it says that mine isn’t a valid account and i have to create a new one. i want to use this account only for windows live messenger and i have to get the confirmation email (i don’t know how it’s called in english).

Sorry for my english (i’m italian)….

  24. This trick is only to create a @live.com email address. I don’t know how you got @RkO.it?

  25. you can make any email with this, except microsoft stopped the @live.com one, i made a one with @live.uk by changing some fields in the javascript

  26. please can u tell us how u were able to make a .uk one, and to avoid the error?

  27. you a genious

  28. I went on to the windows live sign up page and pasted the link.

    javascript: var p = ‘live.’; var ds = new Array(‘com’, ‘cn’, ‘fr’, ‘it’, ‘nl’); for (var i = 0; i < ds.length; i ++){document.getElementById('idomain').options[i] = new Option(p + ds[i], p + ds[i])} alert('domains added');

And i then hit enter it said domains added. I then typed 'uk', inbetween the other domains and hit enter again now i have live.uk :) chuffed
