Linspire is currently offering version 5 of their popular operating system at no cost! Linspire Five-0, as they call it, is normally $49.95 from their site but you can signup to download the digital version without paying a thing.
So how do you get it for free? Actually, it is pretty simple…just go to the site for the operating system, select your language, and click the “Buy” link. There will be a spot to enter in a coupon code, and for that type 07APRRA into the box. Now you should see a checkout screen just like this:

You’ll need to create a Linspire account if you don’t already have one, but that just consists of your name, email address, and password. They also don’t require that you activate your email address, so you could probably make that up if you really didn’t want to give it to them.
Once you successfully complete the checkout process you’ll be given instructions on how you can download Linspire Five-0. You will then be shown a download window that says what position you are at in their queue. They only want a certain amount of people downloading at the same time, so you may start at like position 2,000 but it should move pretty quickly. This is, however, a full CD ISO image that you have to download so it may take you a little while to actually download the 671MB+ file.

Some of you may already be familiar with Linspire’s free version of Linux called Freespire, but the “paid” version does have its benefits despite having been out for a year already. For more information on Linspire Five-0 you can view this introduction or visit the product page. If you’re wondering what the difference is between Freespire and Linspire visit the Freespire Wiki.
Note: I’m not sure how long this offer will last.
Thanks to the anonymous tipster for the coupon code!

I’m not sure if it still works, but you used to be able to use the code bittorrent to download it free through bittorrent. But since it’s GPL you can just download it legally off BitTorrent anyway.
The coupon code is no longer valid.
Can anyone please share their copy of Linspire through Divshare??
Those who could take advantage of this offer can you please put it up for download?
Finding a sharing service that supports such a large file will be next to impossible…and finding the several hours to upload the file would also be difficult.
You can upload the file on;
Up-File.com (1 GB
or
Gigeshare.com (1 GB)
or
bigupload.com (2000MB)
or
gigasize.com( 1.5 GB)
Invalid…
Thanks v1b3z. Can you please upload it Ryan?
I’m not going to upload it for a few different reasons. The first being that it would take me a long time on my 256Kbps upload speed and also because I’m sure it is against the agreement in some way. I haven’t read through the terms but it has to be in there that this can not be redistributed…sorry.
