IE7+ Confirmed For Windows Vista

A few weeks ago people were beginning to notice that the Internet Explorer 7 in Vista was branded as “IE7+”. Everyone knew that there was something behind this and now we have confirmed reports of what it means:

The special branding is designed to highlight the additional features IE7 will receive in Vista, including Protected Mode, parental controls, and improved network diagnostics.

Microsoft appears to be taking advantage of some security features that Vista is going to have built into it, like the parental controls. However, I don’t think that IE7+ will be the product that pushes people to upgrade.
