Sometimes all it takes to make a great application is to develop a simple program that users clearly know whether it is something they will want to use. Taskbar Hider is that app.
As the name implies this free program will let you assign a keyboard shortcut that can be used for hiding/showing the Windows Taskbar. That’s all there really is to it. Alternatively there are some command line parameters you can use to create desktop shortcuts, but that is completely up to you.
The thing I think is kind of cool is that this app came back from the grave. I’m pretty sure I tried it a few months ago to see if it still worked, but at the time only version 1.0 was out and it hadn’t been updated in 8-years. Something must have inspired the developer to get it working again because it was just updated in May 2011.
