Thanks Richard! I looked all over for some good screenshots to link to and couldn’t find anything, which is why I took a lot of my own.

The 3D effects are made for the Gnome interface, and getting it to work on KDE takes some extra work. People have done it before, but it is just more of a pain than doing it on Gnome.

Thanks Mohan! I agree that this version is stable, but as soon as you start to trust it is when something bad would happen…that’s just how computers work.

I am looking forward to this with one click desktop effects and stuff it is going to very good. The beta is pretty stable, and usable but I rater stick the final version on my system. Good post by the way.

Glad to see this release. I have found that Ubuntu is the easiest Linux distro that I have ever seen. Easy setup and LOTS of help on the web when you have an issue.
