i think its more effort to make custom commands then to have it just index your bookmarks?!??!

I agree that having to press tab after typing cybernet would be annoying, but (assuming you use firefox or opera) could you not just bookmark cybernet.com under the name cybernet?Then you would be able to simply type cybernet and press enter.

Yes, you can create shortcuts like that, but it takes a little more effort to do that than some people are probably willing to give.

I’m sure you can get pretty close to never opening the Start Menu. The only time I open it in Vista is to do a quick search.

I haven’t used Launchy yet, but I’ve just looked at it here, and in relation to the Lifehacker Twitter article, and I’m impressed. Let’s see if I can get around without using any icons or the start menu from here on in.
