It’s probably safe to say that the majority of you have been gadget collectors for as long as you can remember. If that’s true, it’s also probably safe to say that somewhere in your home, there’s a stash of old gadgets and random accessories that you just can’t seem to part with, just in case you might need them some day. When this happens, you end up with drawers full of electronics, or in our case, plastic bins simply labeled “electronics.”
Whether you put your old gadgets in drawers (checkout a collection of the “10 Messiest Gadget Drawers over at Gizmodo) bins, or boxes, we’re thinking some of you probably have some common items. So, let’s talk about your old gadgets and what’s included in your “stash.” Off the top of my head, here are some of the gadgets/accessories you might find if you pulled out one of our electronics bins:
- Random cables/connectors/etc.
- Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC
- Old Texas Instrument graphing calculators
- A classic Sony Walkman
- Sega Genesis Game Console
- Remote controls
- Extension cords
- and the list goes on…
Your turn! If we were to pull out your stash of old electronics gadgets, what would we find?

I don’t even know the name of some of the products my boyfriend has. I see one of them says laser disc player on the front of it. Another one says servo controlled turntable. I also found some old sound equipments, different versions of them. And the VHS, and Beta video players and their movies. In my house I have the Atari 2600, all of the nintendo consoles, the sega genesis, virtual boy, previous play stations, old game boy, and game gear, and many many more, oh, and their respective games, controls, cables/connectors of course.
By the way. I would love if you could create a list of the best Cydia apps. The ones you can’t live without. Thank you, have a nice day.

My first stereo FM radio from 57(no stereo stations for two more years)

A heard of speakers from old sound systems
I gave a lot of mine to my little brothers growing up, who destroyed them. (I miss my old gameboy)
Graphing Calcs
cordless phone
Fujitsu Lifebook (laptop)
old bluetooth headset
5 pairs cheap headphones
etc.
Cables and cables and even more cables … i have a few boxes spreaded between closets and garage with lots of pc and network cables, electrical cables and some more cables …
Others junk includes headphones, new and old, some old calculators, and some other junk …
Laying around and completey useless i still have also my first FM/AM stereo radio (half working), a lot of stopped speakers, including a set of creative 4.1 speakers (those squared white ones from 1998/9) and some few more 2.1 sets. 3 Playstation 2 with laser issues, 2 Playstation 1’s non working, 1 PS2 slim non working, and some more junk … and a lot more cables … and my 3 previous digital cameras, 1 non working …
Hell, and i didn’t go to the garage, as i have a lot of more cables around there …
In the atic i think i might have a lot of cables there … and i think 2 scanners and 2 printers without ink … and some of my old sega consoles around. I had also a working gameboy but sold it at a low price last week.
I need to make a cleaning around
The problem is as i often start some bricolage works (and dont finish any) i use some of this junk … so i cant rid of it …
Of course that having a lot of space and not living in city has its own advantages …
