The reason is that they really aren't comparing anything. Comparing PCs to Macs? Well, the specs are different (1GB of RAM makes a difference!) and the operating systems are completely different as well. Comparing Vista to OS X? The hardware is different.What they should have done is run Vista and OS X on a Hackintosh version of one of these and compared them two Vista and OS X on an iMac. I kind of went over that in the article I wrote though. If they said they were comparing the operating systems then that would be one thing, but they never really came out and said that. It was more of a comparison between the PC and Mac.
