MS isn't just trying to change their image but their products as well. I really think Microsoft has had a wake up call. They are starting to embrace open standards more and their is more of a commitment to quality and security.

I think as the next generation of management takes over you'll see better products being shipped.

That is about the same as what I am paying but COX boosted us up to 7Mbps, if I wanted 12Mbps then it would be $60 / month.

Ouch. I have 1.2 Mbs for $16. Anyway, that's really nice of MS, looking out for their Beta testers like that. They really seem like they're trying to change their image lately. Then, again, this could be seen as trying to butter people up. Regardless, I wish I was an invited tester .

im kicking myself as i had a microsoft connect account and didnt submit any bugs.. i do blame it on my internet ISP in South Africa however...

we are capped at a download of 3GB per month, upload as well as download, once that is finished, your account is blocked until the start of the next month...

if i were to download the various beta versions of Vista as soon as they were released on the Connect site, that cap would be reached almost every month, and i would have no internet...i liked to help, but our ISP has the monopoly here in South Africa so there is no other alternative... It would have ssaved me alot of money as i wouldnt have to buy Vista anymore...

Just to show you how ridiculous the ISP is, a 512Kb/s ADSL line costs $100 per month...thats absurd!!!
