There is no a good reason to stop people using pirated versions of Windows. What you expect those users to do? Many of them starts using Linux which is not a good thing for MS. It would be best for MS that Windows is most used OS in tha world. It’s the way to secure their position on the top…

More people using Linux to play games, video and other multimedia stuff would make it more potential for developing those parts and making more and more people to start using it. Then it’s possible that it would come bigger business and a competition against MS.

That’s the way they want to keep it.

Of course there is a possibility that Vista may be so good OS that they could make it impossible to use without paying for it. Their thousands of coders can make it happen if they want – even to day for XP. But do they?

Ei ole mitään hyvää syytä estää Windowsien warettamista. Mitä odotat niiden käyttäjien tekevän? Monet siirtyisivät Linuxin puolelle mikä ei ole hyvä juttu MS:n kannalta. MS:n kannalta on parasta, että Windows on maailman käytetyin käyttis. Se varmistaa heidän asemansa huipulla.

Mitä enemmän porukka käyttää Linuxia pelaamiseen, videoiden kattomiseen sun muuhun multimediaan tekee lisäarvoa niiden osien kehittämiselle ja edelleen useampi käyttäisi sitä. Siten siitä voisi tulla suurempi bisnes ja kilpailu MS:ia vastaan.

Näin ne haluaa sen olevan.

On tietty mahdollista, että Vista on niin hyvä käyttis että sen warettamisen voisikin estää. Niiden tuhannet koodarit kyllä pystyy siihen jos sattuu kiinnostamaan – vaikka heti XP:n kanssa. Mutta haluaako ne?

to there, once inside “data” folder delete data.dat file.., then create new file with same name, rightclick it choose properties and check “read only” ;-]
