hello Ryan,
i think you ment that in all the builds of firefox 2, the drop down was on the magnifying glass. but in firefox 1.X, it was on the icon of the search engine.

when i installed firefox 2b, it was very annoying to find out they switched it (especialy when you now have the option of rearranging them). so maybe this is why the changed it to be like in Firefox 1.X.

Those are some good links Ed. I think I heard that the Resize Search Box extension doesn’t work with Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 though, but I haven’t tried it.

Ed, I am sure the reason I like it the way it was is because I got use to having the drop-down menu on the magnifying glass for all of the other builds.

I definitely agree with you that the search and navigation boxes should be resizable but they aren’t . There is, however, an extension available so that you can resize the search box: [xeen.reversestudios.com]

Sorry, Ryan, I like the change. I find it irritating with drop down beside the magnifier. Maybe I’m just a stick in the mud. I do wish they would make the search & navigation boxes re-sizable.
