It pretty much sounded Digg-like where some extensions may not become popular enough to make the "front page" but they will always be accessible. I'm wondering how they plan on handling existing URL's to extensions.

From what I have gathered users will always be able to get to the old extensions. I just want to make sure they will never be lost, nomatter how few votes an extension gets.

So users WILL be able to install extensions without limit from the public page? They should never permanently remove extensions unless they are radically inappropriate or have been abandoned and are completely incompatible (even with hacks). An add-on for every modification you could think of is what has made Firefox stand tall, and this should never be altered. A shorter, easier to digest add-ons site is not a bad idea, but access to the full list of extensions should never be cut off.

I think it’s OK for them to try and clean up the add-ons site, but Mozilla should move extensions deemed inferior to a a seperate, public page. I definitely think that the site needs to be cleaned up. They need to remove old add-ins that have not been updated to support Firefox 2.0 .

I usually use Extension Mirror also. Also for those of us who want the extensions and the new Extensions site doesn't have it at Mozilla we can always use http://www.extensionsMirror.nl

Well there are quite a few of them that don’t even work anymore so this would be good.
