I am still not happy that Logitech moved the Thumb Button up from where it was on my Dual Mouse Man…

After months of using my G5 I still have to move my thumb up just to use it…Using the Thumb wheel would not be any better for me…

yes I know MS mice work w/o drivers b/c it’s MS OS…that was my point!

and yes a lot of mice work w/o drivers, but in my experience, they perform better with drivers installed, and yes you usually need the software/drivers for the ability to use many of the features on the mouse.

I am personally just saying MS seems to hit all the important features at a cheap price point….the least hassle, and the most benefits, in my opinion.

I know some people who have had bad experiences with Logitech. I myself, been very happy with my wireless mouse (optical but non-ergo) and keyboard. I had a GE model before but I ended up killing the mouse. I had thought about getting the Microsoft set until I saw the price. This one has lasted me at least 3 years now.

I think most mice work without the drivers needing to be installed but you don’t get any of the cool features. Windows is designed to recognize 5-button standard mice and it can install the generic drivers but if you want any cool features you’ll have to install some sort of software. This also goes for Microsoft mice as well because one of the Microsoft mice that I have (I think it is an Intellimouse) needs software install if you want to customize anything with it.

Great review. I also have this model, and I find I usually get 3-4 days on a single charge. Well worth the $100.

I’m still particular to Microsoft mice, I know mice/gaming enthusiasts would preach me to buy logitech, but I have had their mice in the past, and they had sub par performance, and were cheaply made and lack the ergonomics that I wanted.

Microsoft mice always work without software/drivers that come included. Also, Microsoft mice have always been more ergonomic by far when compared to logitech’s mice. And tend to have great features and specs in one mouse, for a very good and reasonable price.

Not to stick it to logitech, as I love their speakers/sound systems for computers, but I have never seen or used a logitech mouse that I liked…and I’ve tried a lot, and they still fail to appeal to me….in fact I’m using one right now…and after a couple years with it, still haven’t warmed up to it. But maybe it’s just me, and logitech mice ergonomics work better for others..

I was looking at that one but I actually wanted a full-size mouse because the smaller ones make my hand cramp. They have a lot of the same features though so I’m sure you’ll like it.
