Plus those calculations the people are making are based on the most recent iPhone price, instead of the "launch" price of the original iPhone. How many Razr's have been released? Quite a few in the few years they've been out. This is also on par for their typical iPod release schedule. That being said, I still appreciate the iphone's presence. It's helping to bring many(if not most) American out of the prehistoric mind set imposed by the draconian carrier dominated system, that phones are just for calling. Now, if we could only do away with the 2 way changes(it's sick). Only in America, right.

I think the iphone is definitely overrated, especially compared to my Nokia N82. I have the first iPhone and love it, I don't have 3G in my area so the only benefits I will really see from the iPhone 3G are GPS and a better battery. But, I'm not sure that is worth the extra $10 a month to AT&T. The battery does fine now, but I'm worried about playing games on the iPhone and if Apple allows iPhone owners to use Bluetooth GPS dongles GPS will be useless to me.

I’m still not really sure what I want to do about the iPhone 3G.
