That being said, I still appreciate the iphone's presence. It's helping to bring many(if not most) American out of the prehistoric mind set imposed by the draconian carrier dominated system, that phones are just for calling. I have the first iPhone and love it, I don't have 3G in my area so the only benefits I will really see from the iPhone 3G are GPS and a better battery. But, I'm not sure that is worth the extra $10 a month to AT&T. The battery does fine now, but I'm worried about playing games on the iPhone and if Apple allows iPhone owners to use Bluetooth GPS dongles GPS will be useless to me.
